Earthquake Response

The Apostle Paul calls followers of Jesus to "rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn."  The writer of Hebrews reminds us to remember those who suffer "as if you yourselves were suffering."  And in Galatians we are reminded to "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."  With these Scriptures in mind, we mourn, we remember, and we commit to do all we can to help carry the burden of our brothers and sisters in Haiti and Chile.  Look here for more information about the United Methodist Church's response and for ways to be in prayerful action.  QUMC also sent a mission team to help with the rebuilding efforts in Chile.  For more information about that experience and ways to continue supporting our missionary John Elmore, e-mail Pastor Josh
